Something to Look at Sunday

I love cold weather. I really do. But I think the time has come to say goodbye. Who's ready for those Spring flowers?! Who's ready for the warmth of the sun on their cheeks? Who's ready to embrace those seasonal allergies with a new box of Calratin and a bottle of Sinex?!

In the words of Spongebob Squarepants, I'M READY!

To get us all thinking happy thoughts about the upcoming season, here are some photos I took last Spring at my favorite plant nursery... sigh.

Decorative Yard Mushrooms

This has been another Something to Look at Sunday!
Be sure to check in tomorrow for my interview with the author of The Secret Year, Jennifer Hubbard!

  1. These are fantastic!!!! What nursery do you visit? I must go there this year!!!

Yay for the interview tomorrow! Can't wait to see it!

  2. Jen - It's in Tomball on 2920, called The Arbor Gate. It's fantasitc. They have classes and demonstrations you can sign up for on Saturdays.

  3. You left out the picture of a short stop gobbling up a ground ball to turn a perfect double-play. That says spring to me. :)

  4. Love those photos!
I like the winter, but it's a bummer when it's just cold and windy with no snow. And we tend to get that a lot here...

  5. Love the pictures! I can't wait for Spring. : )

  6. What a beautiful garden. Is this all in your yard? I'm in the deep south and haven't seen snow in many years. I do enjoy a year round garden and yet I miss the white stuff.

  7. DL - I was simply leaving the postings of those photos to you!

    L. Diane Wolfe - We don't get much snow here either. :(

Ashley - My yard is too shady to grow many flowers or veggies. These pictures were taken at a nursery. They have garden areas to walk through.

  8. Beautiful photos! Have a fab Sunday!!

    ((hugs)) Nicole

  9. OH my gosh. That's so funny. I quoted something from Sponge Bog the other day to a co-worker and she looked at me like I was crazy. What? I have kids!! We love Sponge Bob. And, guess what? I'm also a Texan, not native, but I live in Keller now and just finished writing my YA MS.
OH! And I see you're reading Hush, Hush. Loved that book.
Wow, we have lots in common!! :) Stop by my blog if you so feel the urge!

  10. Right. And that should have been Sponge Bob. Have you never heard of Sponge Bog? He's the other really great cartoon sponge on TV these days...

  11. These pictures are so great! Thanks for sharing!

  12. Oooo!!! I am fairly close to that so awesome!!! Thanks for the info!
