Stress!

I'm thankful that I don't get migranes.  That is my mantra today to help remind myself that this really annoying sinus headache could be worse.  And add stress to that.  Ever notice how stress makes your body feel?  Like you can never get enough sleep... like you are susceptible to more germs than normal... like all you want to do is eat chocolate??

I've been pretty stressed these past few days, and it's certainly not by choice.  If anything I've been telling myself NOT to get stressed.  Just take care of things one at a time, everything will get done, and there's no REASON to get worked up.  But my body hasn't heard a word of it.  I can't concentrate on writing, blogging, painting, nada.

I may be MIA this weekend and maybe some of next week, taking care of various home improvements that have all seemed to pop up at one time, a wedding in hub's family, and trying to work on some oil paintings to sell in my friend's store launching this summer.

I'm just a handful of followers away from 200!  So when that happens, I will be hosting a giveaway, so be on the lookout for that announcement!

I hope everyone has a stress and allergy free weekend!

  4. Tell me about it! I'm almost always stressed out because of school. I really wish I could calm down and not take it so seriously, but it's so hard!

  5. I think it's going around. I have been having the "Blahs" aas I like to call them as well. Hang in there and give your self that mental break you need for yourself. It will do wonders I have been told. Oh and I do enjoy your blog :) Have a great day and an awesome weekend.

  7. Do what you need to recover from the stress and allergies. That tired feeling is your body's way of saying, slow down, you move to fast.

  8. Stress is never fun & i am sorry that you are going through it! And right now i am not really stressing but i can relate on not really being able to concentrate fully on ANYTHING... i am more in vacation mode and i STILL have a whole week until i head out and will probably be like that once i return as well... lol but taking photos is getting me away from all the stress of it! Hope it all works out and you will be missed

  9. I feel you. Stress does a number on my body, gives me chest pains and makes me think I'm having a heart attack (so far I haven't, thank goodness, it's been other things my body does to protest stress). So I put a huge priority on sleep and exercise.

I keep meaning to see if a monthly massage might help, but it always feels like that's one more thing to fit in. Get some rest before you get sick! And good luck with your paintings - I'd love to see pics when they're done :)

  12. I'm a type-B personality...I don't get stressed. My wife hates it because that also means I don't get excited very often either.

    Enjoy your weekend...and relax! :)

  13. Hi, Kristin! I'm so glad to have stumbled across your blog tonight! My goal is to get my little munchkins in the bed so I can sneak back downstairs and read further. It sounds like you are a bit busy, but if you can find a spare minute, I'd love for you to check out my blog at www.toryminus.blogspot.com. Best of luck in your writing career. You seem to be headed in the right direction. I look forward to following your posts. Have a great weekend, Tory
