April in Review... Hello May!

I've been a little silent lately, and I apologize.  I just got back into town last night, so I have a lot of blog catching up to do!  I will post some photos of my trip soon (just regular photos for funsies... I didn't bring the "good" camera. lol).

Don't forget to enter my giveaway! Link is on my sidebar! Ends this Sunday!

How was your April?  Hard to believe another month has come and gone, right?

Somehow, I only managed to read three books in April, which is a significant decrease from last month.  I hope to do better in May.

April Books:

The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen *4/5
Uglies by Scott Westerfeld *4/5
Sea Change by Aimee Friedman *4/5

Prom Nights From Hell by Meg Cabot, Kim Harrison, Michelle Jaffe, Stephenie Meyer, Lauren Myracle
I read a short story and a half out of this and felt like I was wasting my time, so I brought it back to the library.  It just wasn't interesting enough to hold my attention.

Words Read in April: 986
Words YTD: 5740

  1. Oh, I loved Uglies! Pretties was even better!

  2. I just finished Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Manchev. Loved it! I only managed 3 this month also, even with my vacation. By the way Hawaii was amazing and now I understand why you love it so much! I can't wait to go back :)

  3. Hey, there! Great list of books from April. I'll have to look those up. I can't wait to see how May goes.

  4. Make the clock slow down...please!!

I have an award for you over at my place. :)

  5. I can't wait to see the pictures!!

  6. I'm reading Winston Churchill's The Second World War (vol. 2). It is an amazing read if you like history at all. I'm jotting down book ideas as I go through it. :)

Can' wait to see your pics.

I'm glad it's May...It doesn't snow in Iowa in May, June, July, August or September...

  7. A lot more than me!!! I seemed to have lost momentum for reading in the month of April, my everyday life consumed me!! AHH!

  8. KM - Glad to hear Pretties is better! Excited to get to it!

Lynn - I'll have to look into that one. And I'm so glad you enjoyed Hawaii!! Can't wait to hear about it.

Roxy - here's hoping May goes better in the reading dept!

DL - YOU SO ROCK! Seriously... you made my day.

Sharon - I'm interested in learning more about history, but every book I've thumbed through has been so dry! I need to dig in a bit deeper and see what I can find.

Jen - I'd say writing your first draft of your first novel excuses you from being a reading slacker!!
