One Week Down

And I'm still playing catch up.

Something I've notcied about working at home again... I'm very very easily distracted.  So many things to look up, so many rooms in this house to clean, so many meals to eat.

I have managed to get quite a bit of photo editing done, but I still feel like I'm swamped. And I haven't been able to write in who knows how long.  I miss it.  I really do.  Maybe this weekend I'll spread out on a blanket in the backyard and write some in a notebook.

One disappointing thing... the Austin Comic Con... apparently you have to PAY per AUTOGRAPH... like, between $30 and $60 depending on who it is.  I'm still mulling it over.... hard to imagine spending money I don't have on a signature (let alone driving 6 hours round trip to get it).  I really just want to meet Spike and Xander.  That's all.  Sigh.  The good things in life apparently aren't free.

Anyway... on to season two of Angel.  I like it.

  1. I'd love to meet Spike, $30 for an autograph, I don't know.

  2. Work from home sounds great but I would be WAY too distracted, lol. :) Good luck catching up! I work not-at-home and I can't catch up, either!

I went to Philly Comic Con for the first time this year. You do have to pay for autographs BUT you can get a lot of pics of famous people for free. Just snap pics of them at their booths. I got all kinds of great pics - Spike (Xander wasn't there), all kinds of Star Trek people including Patrick Stewart, Linda Hamilton, Julie Newmar (the original Catwoman, although Adam West was next to her and would not allow pics). Some of the bigger name people you had to pay for photos, like Bruce Campbell, but there is better stuff there to spend money on than that. :) Most of the stars are very approachable and friendly and also just watching the other people who attend is fascinating. We had a blast!

  3. it's going to take a couple weeks at least for you to get into the rythm of things working at home. i mean, any new job/ big life change requires an adjustment period. :)

paying for autographs? that just makes spike and xander seem so so so very sad. can they not find real work?

and i stopped watching Angel near the end of the first season, when the show ROYALLY PISSED me off as a teen! grrr.... maybe it would bother me less now... don't want to post spoilers- but why?? why?? it always happens to my favorite!!! :(

  4. Angel only gets better and better with each season Kristin. Kind of like the Harry Potter films got better and better with each film. And I went to Dragon Con in Atlanta and autograph pics were a little between $15 and $30 bucks. And Spike was there. Threw me for a second seeing him with brown hair though.

  5. That sucks that it costs so much. But I do love you new layout. Very cute! :)

  6. I can't believe you have to pay for an autograph. Wish I could charge for that :)

  7. Wow...that kind of sucks! What a let down!

    AND Angel...*sigh*
