In Which I Apologize... a Lot

You know how it is... you run into a friend and it's: "Oh it's been so long! We've just been so busy!"  What is it exactly that we're so busy with?  Why do we let ourselves GET so busy?  And if we complain about it so much, what are we going to do about it?  Answer: I have no idea. Seriously, everything I'm doing in my life right now seems necessary... maybe the bigger issue is time management.

I'm not going to rattle off the long list of things I had going on this past week (it's long) that kept me from the blogging world (I'm sorry I haven't stopped by lately!  I'm slowly trying to check out my fav blogs and go back to see what I missed this past week), from critiquing (Kristi and Katie, I'M SO SORRY--I haven't forgotten I PROMISE!), from eating right (I'm so sorry, Body--please stop trying to pay me back now), and from writing (I'm sorry, Future Published Self, that your Present Self is SUCH A SLACKER).

Here's to a week of getting things accomplished!

  1. No need to apologize...just don't let it happen again!! Hehehe!

  2. Good luck getting all you want accomplished this week! I know all to well how this feels because I've been sitting here for weeks. I'm dying to accomplish some line edits and get myself a badass query. Sometimes I think I want things too much that it causes stress to overload the rest of my life.

Don't stress over us! We'll still be here for when you can return!

  3. We all do it! Get caught up in all the things we've hurled on ourselves! But it is nice when we can take a bit of a breather and catch up with friends. Hope you get everything done that you want to!

  4. It's hard to find balance when you want to do so many things and have so many people in your life. We could try being hermits? Nah!

I hope you have a wonderful week! Don't forget to relax and enjoy.

  6. I love that you just apologized to your "future published self"! lol That's the right attitude to have. I tend to get all doom and gloom about my publishing prospects, so it's nice to see someone with an optimistic attitude.

And we all forgive you! :)

  7. Hi Kristin
I hope you have a great week where everything is accomplished and you feel you can pat yourself on the back. :D
My re-write of chapter one brought about a request for a full submission in less than five hours. I'm taking that as a good sign ;) The wait is killing me though.

  9. Yup. Been there done that and also apologized to my current slacker self. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and you'll get there. :)

  10. I doubt you've been slacking if you've been busy. Just maybe not with the things you want to be busy with. Either way, take it easy on yourself! You'll get it all done in time. :)

  11. I'm there with ya, just posted about it recently. Things are crazy busy for me, too. That's life, sometimes. :) Busy does not mean slacker - take it easy on yourself. :)

  14. You are TOO funny!!! You know I totally understand, no rush! ;)

If you figure it all out, I will accept the solution to time management in lieu of notes...LOL! (BTW - totes had to look up spelling of lieu--it's WAY too early for those kind of words)

  15. yep, it's true, today's life goes on so quickly that we forget how little things and precious little moments are what makes memories and life itself. And sooner or later we pause in our busy lives and ask ourselves where did the time go? That's how we lose touch with friends too :(
