Waiting on Me Wednesday

Yes, you read that right. I have quite the TBR pile, and they're all waiting on one thing: ME. Just when I make progress in my stack, I go to another author event and pick up a few more. Then I find a SUPER good deal at the bookstore and get a few more. It's a problem. And no matter how many times I tell myself to read one book at a time, often I'm in the middle of two at a time, maybe three. That's another problem. No wonder I can't fall asleep at night. Too much fighting for space in my brain.

Here are some of the pretty books I've gotten recently that are waiting for me to dig into them!

Liesl & Po Hourglass Imaginary Girls

I snagged an ARC of Liesl & Po by Lauren Oliver!
Hourglass by Myra McEntire
Imaginary Girls by Nova Ren Suma
(I LOVE how similar yet different those two covers are... gorgeous)

Die for Me (Revenants) Hereafter Possession

Die For Me by Amy Plum (met her!)
Hereafter by Tara Hudson (met her too!)
Possession by Elana Johnson (ARC that I haven't gotten to!! EEEK!)

Haven Unearthly The Lost Saint: A Dark Divine Novel

I got these books MONTHS ago. Maybe I read too slow??

Haven by Kristi Cook
Unearthly by Cynthia Hand
The Lost Saint by Bree Despain

Sadly, this is such a small part of my TBR pile, but the ones I'm most excited about getting to next. What about you? What books are waiting on you to read them?

  1. It's great to have a pile of books awaiting attention. Something to look forward to and fun to choose which to read next. :O)

  2. I have Possession in my TBR pile, too! And now I'm tempted by all these beautiful covers and intriguing titles.

I'm definitely a slow reader! Must be because I savor every word and think as a writer, too.

I believe you can never have too many books. Besides, it's all research! ;)

    Happy reading!

  3. I'm waiting on several as well. They sit on my shelf beckoning to me. If only I didn't have to sleep! I used to love reading the night away.
    Have fun with your reads!

  4. Paper Towns: my first foray into John Green. I love his vlogs with his brother so I really hope I like his book(s). I'm also kinda wanting to read this one non-fiction despite the fact that I haven't touched any of the books I was given for my birthday apart from a book of short stories.

  5. My TBR pile is taunting me. I think it's growing by spontaneous generation. It can't be me. I promised I wouldn't buy any more books until it was gone. (heh, so much for that promise. i need to place an order today)

Right now I'm too lazy to go look at it, but I know it's got 4 epic fantasies, an MG, a couple urban fantasies. a few paranormal romance, a romantic suspense or two, and one book I picked up whose genre I can't identify.

  6. Boy, do I know that feeling! My TBR pile is bigger this summer than it's *ever* been. And I'm going to the library today to get more books! Aggh! If it wasn't so awesome, it would be overwhelming. :p

  7. I so want to read Hourglass. And that imaginary girls looks good too. At least by the cover. LOL. I don't think I've been in the bookstore for what seems like forever! It was at least May. OMG... I need to go.
