Turning Envy into Support (When Blogging Friends Become Authors)

Well, now that we all know how we really feel about those ahead of us in the publishing game (see other post), it's time to do more. SUPPORT. I'm making it one of my goals this year to lend better support to our blogging author friends. They made it! Now let's help spread the word for them. After all, isn't that what social networking is all about??

Books I've read:

The Role of a Lifetime by Jennifer Shirk
Tangled Tides by Karen Amanda Hooper

Books I've bought:

Bestest. Ramadan. Ever. by Medeia Sharif
The Next Door Boys by Jolene B. Perry

Nightshade City by Hilary Wagner
Untraceable by S.R. Johannes

Books I plan to buy soon:

The Circle of Friends by L. Diane Wolfe
Eternal Starling by Angela Corbett
My Very UnFairy Tale Life by Anna Staniszewski

This in no way exhausts the list of amazing blogger-turned-authors, but they're the ones that have been on my mind lately. Who else can we add to the list?!

  1. I love reading books by people I know in the blogging world! Awesome list. I've also been reading books by Talli Rolland, Jennifer Hillier, Ali Cross, and others. So much fun! Hope you're having a wonderful stormy Monday. :)

  2. Whoohoo! I love knowing them. Yea, jealousness, but it's also so fun to say "I know them" and "that book is AWESOME!"

  3. Aww...thanks for the shout-out. You're so sweet. :-)

  4. Across the Universe, Possession, XVI, The Liar Society...umm i know there's more, but those were just the ones i could think of off the top of my head

  5. I didn't know all of these peeps blogged. How cool! I really want to read ETERNAL STARLING, haha

  6. Kristin, thank you so much!! I still love the cover for that book.

  7. Thank you so much for including my book. :)

I've read quite a few bloggers' books, and I have many more in my TBR pile.

    Have a great week.

  8. Aw, so cool! It's so fun to see all our blogger friends become published! We'll be doing that with your books one day!!

  9. I really want to read tangled tides.

  10. It's so encouraging to know it CAN happen. I have quite a few of these on my TBR list and some I didn't. Thanks for pointing them out!

  11. What an inspirational post :) We will all get our turn eventually, because being a writer means you already have true grit. Never give up on your dreams.

  12. I know our dear Medeia! Congrats on her publication!
UNTRACEABLE cover looks to me like it was stolen from new NBC's show THE RIVER poster. It is an almost identical idea.

  13. Thanks so much for including me in your list! :-) I looove the blogging community. Every is so awesome and supportive.
