NaNo?

Another NaNoWriMo is in full swing, and again this girl is not involved. One day, I just might do it. I'm actually considering doing one in January. I know... it's unofficial, but November has got to be the worst month for me to try to write an entire novel. It's my busiest time of year as a photographer, and therefore the most stressful. Yes, I'm up late on the computer, but it's not with Word or Scrivener... it's with Photoshop. Sigh. There's guilt with either, but photography actually pays me, so it always wins ha!

Are you doing NaNo this year? How is it going?? (Or are you not allowed to visit blogs this month? ;)
Have you tried your own NaNo at another time of year? Was it hard to stay motivated if you were the only one doing it?

  1. November really is such a difficult month to try to write a novel. I might have to join you for the January idea if my schedule works out.

I've also done a NaNo in June as well. I did it with a bunch of other peeps so it went well

  4. Agh! I would love to know why the creators of NaNoWriMo thought November was the month to do this 30 days of writing. It is the most stressful time of the year I think. Midterms, holidays, traveling, Thanksgiving. And for my family, filled with birthdays and anniversaries.

  5. November is a REALLY tough month for a writing contest. Plus, it's one of the short ones so you're already down one day! I'm not doing it this year either. A JanNoWriMo sounds pretty good to me!

  6. I'm doing a Feb 30K writing challenge with my NJ chapter.

NaNo is too much for me--especially so close to the holidays.
